Hey man, game seems fun but I think you should add a mute option for those of us who can’t part with our music. 🙂
Thanks! I will add it to my TODO list 🙂
PS – in the meantime you can mute using windows sound mixer

Head on over to Java.com and install it 🙂
when i click the “click here to play” button i git a gray page and nothing happens. 🙁

Check out the FAQ on the main page under Java issues. My bet is you need to install Java, or a different version of Java
I know i have java 7 <but i cant get java 6 again. its broken on my computer.
i just installed java 6
it still doesn’t work
Sorry for the difficulty — I’d recommend a reboot (I’m not sure if java will change versions completely until after the reboot)
when i play it dont work. i click details and it said this.
Java Plug-in 1.6.0_31
Using JRE version 1.7.0_03-b05 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM

Looking at the log from your May 12 post, it looks like your java install is weird – it’s using plugin version 1.6 but JRE 1.7. According to Sun (http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do;jsessionid=4c4ac9035a133b73d553f998c5?bug_id=7138656) this can cause problems. Either use only Java 1.6 + JRE 1.6 (which is the only thing I’m officially supporting at this point), or use Java 1.7 + JRE 1.7. Good luck! 🙂

So it doesn’t even ask to use Java….i really want to play this game though D: Also i get no errors it’s just not registering to use Java. I would suggest a stand alone also because a lot of the time stand alones are the only thing that work on my computer.
Possible a 32bit vs 64bit issue – check this out: http://java.com/en/download/faq/java_win64bit.xml as well as all the tips here: http://8bitmmo.net/help
I have the 64-bit version of Java v7.6
None of the help page is relevant as i get no errors, just an infinite loading screen.
Interesting – can you send a log from the java console?
also I really do hope this is still active enough for you to reply D:
Yes, it’s still very active! 🙂
Yep here it is:
(nothing) java doesn’t even recognize that it needs to be used D:
woops sorry that was for above convo. got put down here for some reason
Sorry, if you’ve tried everything on the help screen and can’t get java to work, I’m not sure what to suggest 🙁
I do play the game a lot and have no issues at HOME, but when I go to a library, All I get is infinite whiteness. (PS- I haven’t been able to test 3 hrs wait, as libraries only give 2 hours a day.)
hello when do you normally update the map and are you going to make it realtime in the future?
Real-time would be virtually impossible as far as I know. That would be like making Google Maps real-time. The map-bot takes around a week to get through the entire game world as it is. As it is, the next map update should be starting on Monday.
This is correct
Could you possibly alert me when the next one is? I must get my towns finished before the next Map Update.
Probably week after next
Here’s hoping you still check this thing.
Do you have plans on supporting the facebook page(s) that are trying to get the Razer Toaster made into a real t hing?
Nope 😛
